Hi, I’m Mariah

Helping you move from overwhelm to understanding

I’m Mariah, a BABCP-accredited CBT Psychotherapist and Registered Mental Health Social Worker, specialising in helping adults move through anxiety, OCD and intrusive thoughts, trauma, and life transitions.

I offer a compassionate, creative, and evidence-based approach to therapy, helping you find clarity, confidence, and lasting change. My style is warm, person-centred, and collaborative, grounded in the belief that you are far more than your difficulties or diagnoses.

Together, we focus on understanding your experiences within the wider context of your life story, culture, and values, taking a ‘whole-person’ approach that honours the many layers of who you are.

My Approach

I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) alongside ongoing training in brief Psychodynamic interpersonal therapy (DIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), integrating mindfulness, creative reflection, and somatic awareness.

Therapy with me isn’t just about symptom relief, it’s about building a deeper understanding of yourself, reconnecting with confidence, calm, and purpose. My goal is to help you move beyond coping toward meaningful, sustainable change.

My Story & Values

My path to psychotherapy has been unconventional, beginning in the creative and charity sectors, where I saw firsthand the many ways people heal through connection, reflection, and creativity. Experiencing therapy myself deepened my respect for what’s possible when evidence-based practice meets genuine human understanding.

These experiences now shape my approach: rooted in CBT, but enriched by mindfulness, compassion-focused, and creative embodied practices. I see therapy as a collaborative, affirming process that balances both structure and creativity, insight and embodiment.

My values are grounded in inclusion, curiosity, and respect, offering an anti-oppressive, neurodiversity-affirming space that honours the whole of who you are and allows your story to unfold safely, at your own pace.
